"The King of Wings"

$0.00

Finding this remarkable hoodoo in the high desert was my number one objective on this photo excursion to the San Juan Basin of New Mexico. Miles from the nearest gravel road there was no trail (at the time), and no reliable GPS coordinates. It is located in the Ah-She-Sle-Pah area of the Bisti Badlands. Traveling alone, I arrived about an hour before sunset and spent the night composing this 13 image panorama. I walked the two miles out at dawn under the careful eye of a coyote who followed me the entire way.
